We have already golfed most of the golf courses in St. George. But we still marvel at the outstanding views from the Coral Canyon Golf Course.
Green Springs Golf Course has a very deep canyon that the ball has to cross. To my San Miguel friends, this canyon makes #7 look like a little ditch!!
We played one new course, Falcon Ridge. This is the signature hole. The water starts at the green and runs down to the tee. In other words, it is a steep up hill climb!!
We had one more new thing to try in St. George. "Brigadoon" was being performed in the St. George Opera House. Written by Lerner and Loewe of "My Fair Lady" and "Camelot" fame. It was an intimate theater in the round and we enjoyed the story, the talent and the amazing kids.
At the intermission, a little 5 year old takes center stage and asks everyone to buy something at intermission so that she gets a great gift from the tooth fairy. What fun when they wheel in the cart from the Sweet Tooth Bakery with beautiful cupcakes!! I didn't need one but, who can resist the Reese's Peanut Butter Chocolate cupcake!!
Next stop is Brigham City, Utah. It is the end of May and there is still a lot of snow on these mountaintops! We always enjoy the scenic views as we travel.
Not much new in Brigham City, but we did get a beautiful view from our RV of the snow still on the mountains.
We took a ride in the car out to Logan, Utah and enjoyed even more stunning snow capped mountains
Logan has an amazing program called "Summer Citizens." You can stay in the vacated suites, use the Utah State University facilities and even attend some classes designed for retirees. The prices are amazingly low. We may try it when we are finished RVing. Yes, the costs run from $1500 - $3500 for a three month stay!! You can get more information at www.summercitizens.usu.edu.
After lunch we walked 9 holes at Birch Creek Golf Course. Having worked up an appetite, we enjoyed appetizers before dinner on the patio at Café Sabor, a converted train station. The guacamole had huge chunks of avocado and the pink margarita was fantastic!! I have to have at least one photo of food!!
Now its on for a quick stop in Mountain Home, Idaho on our way to McCall, Idaho.
