It is a park built around steep, glistening dunes of sand.
Most visitors rent plastic discs and ride down the steeper dunes. No one was riding the day we arrived, but you can see all the footprints left from people climbing up the dune
Mark found it to be a great place to practice his bunker play. Its in one of the largest bunkers he will ever experience.
We found some ripples in the sand. When I walked through the visitors center I found out that the distance between the ripple's crest is the distance a sand grain moves in one bounce.
Next stop was Las Cruces, New Mexico. It was a quick stop, but we had a lot of fun. First we went to one of our favorite restaurants, St. Clair Winery and Bistro and had a wonderful lunch. Here is the beautiful presentation of the pot sticker appetizer. They poured us a glass of the wine they were sampling that day called Bellissomo. Yes, we bought a bottle!
We are always on the look out for some different things to do in every city we visit. Mark found that the local theater had the play "A New Brain.". It was a fun little musical comedy.
It's time to move on to our next stop in Green Valley, Arizona.
