Mark has, for many year's, made his families Thanksgiving Dinner so this was nothing new. One of the family traditions over the holidays are what Mark calls "French Cookies" I know them as pizells. Pauline, Mark's Mom, and Mark review the recipe to make sure they have all the ingredients. Note the large bottle of wine made by Mark's brother, Mike on the corner of the table!
Mark did a lot of the heavy work of mixing the ingredients to form these cookie balls. But, Pauline has the technology - she's an expert at working the "iron."
You know that these cookies will not sit for long. Here's Mark's younger brother Mike leaning in to "steal" a few!
I didn't get many photos this trip but here is one where the girls are busy. This photo has 3 of Mark's Sister Paulette's 4 daughters. From left to right: Niece Rachel, Sister Paulette, and Niece Vanessa and sitting by the table busy on her smart phone is Niece Laura. Pauline and Mark are still busy working on the cookies!
This however is the photo of the weekend - Mark donned a holiday apron to get into the festivities and entertain his family!
Last, but far from least, let it be known that the Costello family tradition lives on. The last batch of brown and serve rolls came out a little well done on the bottom.
We had a great visit and loads of food!!! Don't ask how many pounds of butter were consumed. Its time to continue our RV adventure. So, we are off to go back to Hot Springs Village, Arkansas and pick up the RV, hook up the car and head out to Denton, Texas
