The trip to Oregon provided some amazing scenery out the window of the RV as we traveled from Redding, California to Canyonville, Oregon along Highway 101.
And we enjoyed many amazing views like these as we followed the road along the coast.

Stopping in Florence and Lincoln City along the coast provided beautiful ocean views like this but some cold wet weather and lots and lots of sand dunes.
We had to take the RV in and Mark came up with the great idea..."Let's go camping!" So, here I sit at Champoeg State Park with all the comforts of home: a Verizon wireless internet connection, an air mattress and a heater in the tent - my kids the campers will be so proud of us!!
After a 7 mile ride on the bikes beside the Willamette River we enjoyed a somewhat smokey (it went away as soon as the wood dried) but blazing campfire under the stars.
Can you believe the size of this pancake at On the Way Cafe in Lawrence, Oregon? It is the size of a frying pan and I only made it though half of it.
We could not leave this area without stopping at the Columbia River Gorge
One of the most popular sites in Oregon is Multnomah Falls. With a view like this of the upper and lower falls the crowds are to be expected.
However, you can get away from the crowds by hiking up to the top of the falls. Here is Mark on the way down, but you can see the steep angle of the switchbacks!
But all the work of the steep climb is rewarded at the top by views such as this!
Onward to our next set of stops in Washington State!
