We checked into our spot at Spokane RV Resort in Deer Park, WA. While we were setting up, neighbors Cathy and Steve invited us for dinner. Aren't RVing friends the best?
This is the amazing golf course view we enjoyed during our two month stop.
There was a beautiful red salvia in the flower pot on our site. I picked up some other flowers as well as some basil. This is what the pot looked like when I first planted it.
And, this is what it looked like when we left at the end of July. Its always fun to watch things grow.
The red salvia attracted hummingbirds, but they move so quickly I couldn't get a good photo. But, here is one with a beautiful Monarch butterfly.
We need your input. There are these beautiful trees all over the golf course. Every evening we had this soft fragrant smell float into the RV. Does anyone know the name of this tree?
We got some surprise visitors: Frank Hoiland and his son, Matt were in near by Chewelah bear hunting. They didn't get a bear, but we did get to visit with them twice.
Our neighbors at this RV park last year, Dean and Anita, showed up in early June and we enjoyed a great happy hour. There were a lot of adult beverages and everyone left very happy!!
We played Dominion Meadows with Anita and Dean...
...and finished with dinner at Stefani's in Coleville. We all enjoyed the seafood platter. It was fabulous!!
Mark and I took a trip up to Priest Lake and totally enjoyed the majestic beauty of this golf course.
Our favorite restaurant at Priest Lake (Cavanaugh's) was closed so we found Elkins Resort. It is very rustic, but the view of the lake is priceless.
A group of us from the RV park went to Twigs for dinner. It was a little loud, but we weren't the quietest group in the place either!
We found a very interesting idea at Down River Golf Course. On a hole where you cannot see if there is anyone on the fairway they installed this tall mirror. You look into the mirror and see if anyone is still on the fairway. Very innovative!!
Anita and Dean hosted a dinner at their site. We did a dinner at our site and Cathy and Steve made a delicious ribs dinner on their Trager pellet grill. It was Dean's birthday so we had a nice birthday celebration.

Speaking of food, we enjoyed a unique breakfast at Old European Breakfast House. Those round balls , Danish Abelskivers, are like pancake batter that is cooked in a special cast iron skillet with no fat and dusted with powdered sugar. They were scrumptious!
We took a trip to Greenbluff to pick berries. When we got back I shared some raspberries with each of my aqua fit friends. Then I baked a blackberry pie.
This is a long blog as it covers a two month stay. We had a great time ,but now its time to head out to Bozeman, Montana.
