Its always such fun to catch up with friends in their home towns. Mark and Pete were off roaming around the property so Rhoda and I started planning activities. While we were enjoying a perfect happy hour I found four tee times at Lost Tracks golf course for $14 a player - that's a great deal because it is normally well over $70!! A great start to a wonderful weekend. We were all in a great mood as we enjoyed one delicious dinner on the patio.
How could we visit Pete and Rhoda and not squeeze in some tennis. They have a membership at this beautiful indoor tennis facility, Sage Tennis Club. Mark and I won the first set, Pete and Rhoda took the second set and we ended the third set with a 6-6 tie. That's a nice ending for a fun tennis match!
Oh this day is far from finished. We stopped at Sun River Lodge for lunch with a view.
We just had to make a quick stop to see the lot where their new house will be built!!! Now that is going to be quite the view!!
Then we changed into some hiking attire and headed out to Rock Springs State Park for a great hike.
There are a lot of rock climbers and we stopped to watch many of them scaling the straight rock sides.
And how about this guy???
We hiked and talked...
and continue to note the magnificent beauty of this spectacular State Park.
Nope, the day is not over yet. We grabbed a pizza and watched the pros in action at the Fed Ex Cup. Wow - what a day. But there is always tomorrow! We headed out to enjoy our great deal at Lost Tracks Golf Club. The signature hole has a railroad car that you have to walk through to get to the green. I tired to capture action shots of our foursome.
We enjoyed looking at all the period pieces placed throughout the railroad car.
What better way to end this stop with a "we were there" group photo!
Whew!! We're worn out spending time with these two so its on to our next stop, Chico, CA.
