Rancho CA RV Resort - Aguanga, CA May 10-12, 2012

This was a short stay at Rancho California RV Resort in Aguanga (pronounced A- wan- ga) CA.  We stopped here as it was on our way to San Francisco and because this Outdoor Resorts campground has quite a reputation for beautiful sites.

Our RVing friends, Lou and Marge Van Parys clued us in to this campground.  They also gave us the contact of a friend of theirs who has a site that they only rent to friends, and what a site it is!

We had some great views from the front and the side windows of our RV.

And the view from the back of the site was of the adjacent golf course.  The property owners play golf for free on the 14 par 3 holes.  We did not play golf even though it was only $25 to play all day.  However with the  RV sites right on the side of the golf course it creates a very stressful round.  It does however make for a beautiful view when you are relaxing on your covered patio!

We really enjoyed the beautiful weather with a perfect 72 degrees and a gentle breeze.  It was so relaxing to throw a steak and some veggies on the grill, and sit back with a glass of wine and just enjoy the luxurious space.

Speaking about wine, Rancho is about 30 minutes from Temecula where you can find more than 20 beautiful vineyards and wineries.

Although there was no where near the organized activities at Palm Creek, there were a few things similar to Palm Creek - a golf cart came with our site, and there were some newborn doves in the rafters!

We did find a very nice golf course in Temecula so we got in our golf fix before it was time to head out to our next stop...Simi Valley and the Reagan Presidential Library.
