November 15, 2008

Its been a while so we'll bring you up to date. We left Mount Magazine and headed to Branson, MO. Visted Silver Dollar City - its come a long way since Mark was a kid, saw "Noah the Musical" - you know the plot, but the set design putting the audience in the middle of the Ark and all of the live animals coming in 2 by 2 were the highlights. We also found the greatest golf course with amazing fall color - Hidden Valley Golf Club. On October 11th we headed to Pittsburg, KS for Mark's neice Kayla's wedding, see photos 4 & 5. We spent the rest of the month of October in Missouri finishing up doctor and dental visits. While still in Missouri, Neida went to visit her grandson, Atticus in Boston, see photos 2 & 3. He is such a good baby that Eden has to wake him up during the night to feed him! On November 3rd, we headed out on the journey to the Rio Grande Valley in Texas. First stop in Oklahoma had a golf course with the 15th hole right outside the door, but here is a shot of Mark on another hole. You can see the RV in the background (See photo 1). That's the good news, the bad news is that before we finished our round the sky opened up and pelted us. On the way south we stopped for a weekend tennis clinic at the John Newcombe tennis ranch. Lots of fun but the young ones wore us out. On November 11th we finally arrived at Victoria Palms RV resort. The weather is in the 80s and we love it!

I had not been to the site in a while, it looks like you're doing it right! Kevin mentioned you were in AZ and as I stare at the snow falling out my office window, I must admit I am a little envious. We miss you and hope to see you the next time you pass through the Midwest. Take care. Shelly.
