Hot Springs Village (HSV) - we have found Valhalla! HSV has an active tennis center with 16 soft courts, an active pickleball group, a fitness center with everything from workout equipment to yoqua (yup, yoga in the pool), hiking and biking trails, lots of lakes and some great golf, 9 courses, for an amazingly low greens fee ($13.50for 18 holes for property owners)! We spent 8 days here, played 5 rounds of golf and lots of tennis, sometimes twice in one day as well as some very competitive pickleball. At the beginning of the week we went to Sunday Fun day at the tennis center for 2 hours of tennis and dinner. We met loads of great, like minded people (even some RVers but no "bubbas" in this place). Fate had us scheduled in all but one set with Kim and/or Gary (see photo 1) which led to a fun friendship. We enjoyed lots of pickleball, tennis and a few beers with them over the course of our visit. The golf courses are surrounded by trees which makes it feel like you are playing in the forest. Here's Neida teeing off on the 9th hole(photo 2) and Mark making the putt (photo 3)for a birdie. Here we are showing off our pickleball skills (photo 4). And finally, the ever popular restaurant shot at the Last Chance restaurant on Lake Balboa (photo 5). The low cost of living and the high quality of life put Hot Springs Village at the top of our list for a retirment home when we are finished with our RV journey
